Shopping and retail on the Isle of Man

If you’re after a spot of retail therapy and shopping on the Isle of Man, you’ll find plenty of independent retailers and high street shops to choose from. Here is our pick of what’s on offer:

Parliament Street, Ramsey

Less than half an hours’ drive away from our cottages is Ramsey, a seaside town home to a wealth of independent retailers selling products you won’t find elsewhere. Parliament Street is the town’s main shopping street, with stores including:

  • Shakti Man – An exclusively Fair Trade retailer selling organic clothing for both men and women, as well as unique home-ware and gifts
  • The Tide – Offering a range of women’s men’s and children’s clothing
  • Millichaps of Ramsey – A family-run furniture retailer selling a large and diverse range of goods for the home

Tynwald Mills, St Johns

Tynwald Mills is one of the island’s best-known shopping spots, with a number of high street brands and independent names under one roof. The centre, which incorporates a historic mill, has a wide range of products on offer from fashion to food and items for the home and garden.

You’ll also find places to eat and a children’s play area, too.

Strand Street, Douglas

Home to high street names such as River Island, Next, Marks and Spencer and Topshop, Strand Street is the island’s central shopping district, running parallel to the capital’s seaside promenade.

With a wealth of independent stores to choose from, too, you’ll be spoilt for choice whatever you’re shopping for.
